What Are Paired Conjunctions ?

11+ Paired conjunctions. Most important linking words in English. It is impossible to communicate without correlative conjunctions in English. Do you know what are those ?

Sentence connectors के बिना अच्छी अंग्रेजी बोल पा मुश्किल ही नहीं बल्कि नामुमकिन भी है। जहां Better English communication करने के लिए आप use of all tenses, correct use of Modal Verbs, preposition सीखते हैं वहीं English speaking में थोड़ा sentence connectors का तड़का भी लगाना सीखना होगा।

1) Such…as – (इस तरह का…..जैसा)

इस तरह की दवाइयां जैसा दवा का सलिप में बताया गया है, दुकान में वो उपलब्ध नहीं है।  Such medicines as are mentioned in prescription is not available in the shop.

इस तरह का नंबर जैसा आप संपर्क करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं, है ही नहीं।  Such number as you are trying to connect does not exist.

2) not only…but also – (न सिर्फ बल्कि )

बादाम सिर्फ शरीर के लिए ही लाभदायक नहीं बल्कि दिमाग के लिए भी फायदेमंद है। Almond is not only useful for body but also for mind.

वह न सिर्फ मेरा भाई है बल्कि मेरा दोस्त भी है। He is not only my brother but also my friend.

3) Both…and ( और….दोनों)

 

वह मुझे प्यार और तारीफ़ दोनों करती है। She both loves me and admire me.

वह बूढ़ा और अंधा दोनों था। He was both old and blind.

4) such….that – ( ऐसा…कि )

उसका चेहरा ऐसा था कि किसी को भी उससे प्यार हो जाए। Such was her face that anyone could fall in love with her.

ऐसा उसके प्यार का शिद्दत था कि वह इसके लिए कुछ भी करने को तैयार था। Such was the intensity of his love that he was ready to do anything for it.

5) So…that – ( इतना…कि )

इतना अंधेरा था कि गवाह चोर का चेहरा नहीं देख पाया। It was so dark that the witness could not see thief’s face.

भाषण इतना पकाऊ था कि सबको नींद आने लगी। The speech was so boring that everyone started dozing off.

6) As….as – ( उतना….जितना )

टीपू सुल्तान उतना बहादुर थे जितना शेर। Tipu Sultan was as brave as a lion.

वे लोग उतने व्यस्थ हैं जितनी मधु मक्खियां। They are as busy as honeybees.

7) Although…yet – ( हालांकि… फिर भी)

हालांकि वह जुआ में दिमागदार है फिर भी वह असफल हो गया है।  Although he is a mastermind in gambling yet he has failed.

हालांकि जोरों की वर्षा हो रही थी फिर भी वह क्लास के लिए आया। Although it was raining hard yet he came for class.

8) Either…or – ( या तो… या)

तुम या तो मोबाइल वापस कर दो या इसकी कीमत चुका दो। Either you return the mobile or pay for its price.

या तो तुम विडियो टीवी पर देख सकते हो या लैपटॉप पर। You can watch the video either on TV or laptop.

9) No sooner….than – (जैसे ही .. वैसे)

जैसे ही उसने मुझे देखा वैसे ही मुझसे बातें करने लगा। No sooner did he see me than he started talking with me.

जैसे ही ट्रेन पहुंची वैसे ही यात्रीगण उतरने लगे। No sooner did the train arrived than passengers started getting down.

10) Neither…nor – (नाही न तो)

मोती न ही खुद खाता है और ना ही दूसरे को खाने देता है। Neither Moti eats himself nor he let anyone eats.

वह ना ही सुन्दर है और न तो अक्लमंद है। She is neither beautiful nor intelligent.

11) on the one hand…on the other hand – ( एक ओर…दुसरी ओर)

राकेश एक ओर पढ़ाई कर रहा है और दूसरी ओर वह काम कर रहा है। On the one hand Rakesh is reading on the other hand he is working.

12) Whether…or – ( चाहे….या )

चाहे हम हिन्दू हैं या मुसलमान, पहले हम भारतीय हैं। Wheather we are Hindu or Muslim, first of first we are Indians.
