Story of a Prince 

Read it carefully and give answers to the questions in the quiz below :

Once upon a time, there was a prince. One day he was strolling (टहलना) in his beautiful garden. Suddenly (अचानक) one peculiar (अजीब) question came into his mind. “Wha is the use (फायदा) of this garden?” Does everything in the garden benefit me as the owner(मालिक होने के हैसियत से)?.

Going near a mango tree, the prince asked it, “tell me what are you doing for me ?” Mango tree said, “when (जब) the hot summer arrives (पहुंचना), my branches (डाल) are loaded with the most delicious ( स्वादिष्ट) and juicy (रसीले) mangoes. You gardener (माली) collect them and they are served (परोसना) to you and your guests.” The prince was very pleased (ख़ुश.) “Well done!”(शाबाश) he said to the mango tree.

Next his eyes fell (नज़र पड़ा) on a huge (विशाल) Banyan tree. It had no fruit on it. The prince wondered (आश्चर्य हुआ) what it could be doing for me? “Tell me what you do for me?” Prince said to the Banyan tree.

“I don’t give fruits like (के जैसा) the mango tree,”said the tree. But on my branches birds make nests and they sing melodious (सुरीली) songs to wake up at dawn (भोर में). And apart from this (इस के अलावा), my spreading (फैला हुआ) branches give shelter (शरण) to your sheep (भेड़) and cattle (मवेशी) .” Well done! Said the prince.

Conclusion: 

I think the prince was a business-minded person who thinks about the profit or loss from his property.
